Ok I’m getting desperate now, realising I only have TEN days left of my challenge and I’ve promised to step out of my comfort zone and go on a real, live date *gulp*
Biggest challenge though, is finding someone who will want to go on one with me – how tragic! And no friends have made an offer to help me out, gits! So, I’ve resorted to sending out a message on my Twitter accounts which also posts onto my Facebook account. Only response I’ve received so far is from my (she thinks she’s witty) farmer friend Clairesy, trying to pimp her husband and telling me he is cheap to take out. Errrmm.. lovely though Phil is he is married to you Claire and also, I don’t expect to have to pay for my date.. I am not that desperate (yet).
Ahhh the trials and tribulations of dating after divorce (or near as dammit divorce). I last did proper dating when I was a teenager and to say I’m rusty at this whole malarkey is an understatement. I keep telling myself, “c’mon Sarah, how bad can it be? Don’t be such a big fricking chicken” yada yada. Anyway, if I stop thinking of it as a date and more as a business meeting (interview them for this blog?), I feel a whole lot better. No pressure to even like them then muahahahah.
So if you know anyone that would like to date me (show them tomorrow’s video – I’ll make more effort with my appearance in that one I promise) and who can be bothered to travel to the Brighton area for a cup of tea or a walk or something with minimum stress and lots of escape opportunities, just leave me a comment!
