Well brace yourself, I’ve actually been OUT on a MONDAY! Yes, I went and joined my lovely sister, Nicola Cairncross, at the Crown & Anchor to watch her game of poker against the boys, trying to pick up some hints and tricks.. mainly wtf makes a winning hand *lol*
I was reminded that I’ve agreed to go to the ladies night on Wednesday which means I can’t go Jive dancing with Michelle and Jules this week but at least I’ll get to hear about how they got on AND get over my hump of being too shy to play poker with a bunch of strangers FOR REAL.. not just round Nicola’s dinner table.
I’ve also been having an interesting email exchange with a friend of mine about why I’m trying to get a date during this 30 day challenge… and maybe he’s right. I’ve not been asking for a date to start a new relationship, I’m not sure this challenge is the right mindset for that.. however, it has been good for me as it’s made me think about doing it.
I would like to meet some new people, have some fun and do some corny romantic stuff maybe, so I guess for now, I’ll take the pressure off doing it for a ‘challenge’ and wait to do it because it feels right so don’t expect to hear I’ve been on a date in the next ten days *lol*. Changing my mind like this, also gives me the luxury about being picky about who I meet and know that they will probably feel comfortable that I am meeting them as I like them, not just because they asked and I agreed to it to meet the deadline of my 30 day challenge.
Phew!
Anyway, here’s the video and in it I share the dating website I’ve decided to trial – it’s one I put myself on briefly a few month’s ago.. I really must start sharing some of the emails I receive – no names of course – because I can totally understand why some people give up within days *lol*
ooh I also signed up for a brain training test thingy at http://www.bbc.co.uk/bang – have a go and we can compare scores!
