What happened on Day 2 of my raw food challenge?

Ok I think I need to start summarising at the end of the day so my blog entries make more sense… as much sense as they are ever gonna make anyway! hahahah Doing that will also mean I remember exactly what happened instead of having selective amnesia *grin*

I’ll make this short n sweet and factual as it’s Spencer’s 12th birthday today and I must get my arse into gear and do stuff with him.

Ok yesterday – Day 2 – I had…

… a juice for breakfast (I did video me making this but was a stupid tart and didn’t make sure the mic for my webcam was active and so the sound recorded via my headset and was no good). I snacked on a banana. For lunch I had one piece of wholemeal bread with the remaining half an avocado I had with tomatoes (I know I’m gonna have to get more creative!). Funny thing is as soon as I’d eaten that I felt really lethargic – probably a mix of detoxing and eating the bread, I know I feel better if I cut it out altogether. Then at 5pm – my danger time- I was feeling hungry and so had the rest of the green juice I’d made this morning and kept in the fridge and found this really helped my cravings.

Unfortunately Spencer requested sausage and mash with gravy for dinner and ummm… I did crumble and eat four spoons of delicious buttery, cheesy, mash that I made mmmm… plus point is it was only about a tenth of what I’d normally consume and when he got the maltesers out I ate only 3… and then umm I did eat half a croissant.. ok it’s not brilliant BUT normally I would have started and not stopped so I’m quite proud of myself for managing to exercise SOME restraint.

Water? I was totally crap at drinking yesterday – I have to make sure I fill my bottle up at the beginning of the day or I just don’t drink. Am dreading the thought of running today because of it as I must be totally dehydrated. Also I need to drink at least 2 litres a day as I know that will help flush out the toxins my body will be releasing by eating better and help my skin which has gotten worse. Bah – I need to stop ‘knowing’ these things and start fricking ‘doing’.

Exercise? Yes, I did it! I ran for 20 minutes and then did my 4 sets of 50 crunches. I’m going to do a few days of 20 then start adding a minute on each time. It felt better then the previous day (day 1) and I’m battling my lazy ass voice as I type this and going to make myself go out and do a run now – even if it’s for only 10 minutes.
